Jane is an experienced property management and development professional, with an established track record of leadership and expertise within the retirement sector. She has over 30 years’ experience in housing, development, property management, financial management and customer service delivery.
Over the last sixteen years Jane has specialised in the retirement market, leading the delivery of care services and setting up innovative service models.
Before joining Places for People to launch Brio Retirement, Jane held the title of Group Director at MHA (Methodist Homes); delivering housing, care & support services to 12,000 older people.
Karl joined Brio as a founding Director, with responsibility for overseeing the delivery of all Brio villages; including the sales and marketing approach.
He is a Chartered Project Manager with over 20 years’ experience of planning and development within the care and retirement property sector. Karl joins after four years as Development Director at Methodist Homes (MHA), where he was responsible for the delivery of retirement villages and care homes throughout the UK.
Prior to working with MHA, Karl held a number of senior executive positions in management consulting; working in the private and third sector with a number of residential, care and retirement operators and developers.
Prior to joining Brio, Dan was Regional Finance Director at McCarthy & Stone. As a key member of the Regional Board of Directors, he was responsible for driving the financial and workflow performance of the region over a period of significant change and financial restructuring.
Dan qualified as a Chartered Accountant in December 2006 and since then has gained extensive experience in the retirement and property development sectors, backed with a wealth of expertise in accounting and financial management. Previous roles include Group Financial Controller at Town Centre Securities PLC.
Chris became Group Chairman of Places for People in 2010, having originally joined the Group Board in 2006.
He has chaired a number of companies listed in the UK and Germany, and is currently non-executive Chairman of Narec Capital Limited and London & Newcastle, a leading London-based mixed-use property development company.
David has over 30 years’ experience of housing, urban regeneration, mixed tenure and mixed use development, property and financial management, having led strategic change in both large and small organisations. He has been Group Chief Executive of Places for People since 1997.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors, a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a Chartered Member of the Institute of Housing, a Member of The Institute of Residential Property Management, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and is Visiting Fellow of Cambridge University.
