Places for People is pleased to announce that Button House in Hackbridge has been shortlisted at this year’s British Homes Awards 2021. Our age-exclusive development is a finalist in the ‘Best Community Living’ category.

Button House – which was launched in May by Brio Retirement Living, part of Places for People – is a new retirement living community offering an innovative approach to later life for over-55s within the local area.

Set over four floors, Button House features 80 stylish one and two-bedroom apartments with a range of exciting facilities within the building, including a fitness suite, a community hub, residents’ lounge and the Slate & Grain brasserie, bar and coffee lounge.

Every apartment offers light and spacious living, with a contemporary open-plan design and private balcony. Open green space at Beddington Park is within easy walking distance, while Hackbridge train station, with connections into central London, is just a few minutes’ walk away.

Helen Kings, Chief Executive at Brio Retirement Living, said: “We are very proud that Button House has been shortlisted for Best Community Living at the British Homes Awards 2021. We’re passionate about creating communities that offer an exceptional lifestyle, and at Button House we’ve taken great care to create a warm community where everyone feels safe and secure and can live the life they want to live. This shortlist really demonstrates how the wellbeing of all of our residents is central to our development ethos.”

The British Homes Awards 2021 honour every aspect of housebuilding, and the awards ceremony will take place in November.

Button House – located in the London Borough of Sutton, just nine miles south of Charing Cross Station – is part of the New Mill Quarter development, benefitting from a wealth of nearby amenities along with 58 hectares of attractive green open space.
